I’ve blogged about Digi Night Out here in Utah before, but I haven’t ever had the chance to go until last weekend. I was able to carve some me time out of our schedule (thanks hubby!) and I got to pack up my laptop and sit and scrap with other digi folk. Let me take this moment to mention how much easier it is to pack for a digi crop – just one small bag! Oh, I remember the days when it took hours to pack for a crop.
Want to know what a digital crop looks like? Well, this is pretty much it. Yes, you can even fit three scrappers on a table because all we need are laptop computers and a few treats.
You can see me chatting with Suzy Iverson (Suzy Q Scraps) here. I did a lot more chatting than scrapping, but that was fun for me!
Here I am posing with my silly wrist brace. Everyone wanted to know if I was injured so I had to explain that I tweaked my wrist years ago tearing fabric strips for a craft project and ever since that time I just need to wear a brace when I use my computer. My hubby always teases me that it is a bowling brace. Ironically, I hurt my shoulder 18 months ago when I was bowling and it has never recovered. Oh well. I may be pieced together, but I can still click a mouse!
Amber did such a great job with the whole event. We played Bingo for a few prizes and it was just a nice and very casual evening.
We each also got this great digital kit from Michelle Coleman and a gift certificate to her store. More than worth the small price of admission! Don’t you just love this kit? I’m not sure if it’s in her shop yet, but she has a lot of really gorgeous designs there so go take a peek.
I participated in the speed scrap at the crop where we were given an instruction every few minutes (such as “add 2 arrows to the page”) to create a layout of our own. I think mine turned out pretty cute if I may say so.
I have to say that I really enjoyed going to the event and I hope to go to more in the future. I’m also going to be the featured designer next April so if you live in northern Utah, maybe you can come and join in? It’s always nice to hang out with some digi peeps!
