Reading is part of being creative

One of the things I'm most proud of accomplishing in 2016 is getting back into reading. I've learned and re-learned that books are so important to my happiness, creativity, and overall quality of life. I'm planning ahead for a year full of inspiration, learning, and just plain old fun by gathering up some of the books I hope to read in 2017.

I also have quite a few books loaded on my Kindle app right now as well. I'm so excited to dive in! You can find any of these books on amazon or check your local library. I'm especially enjoying using the Kindle app these days because I can read in bed (in the dark while hubby sleeps). If you want a secret for how to shop for Kindle books on your iPad just open up the kindle page in your browser (safari) - here's my link if you want to contribute a few coins to my affiliate account. Once the link is open on your device, just use the "send to" button

Once the link is open on your device, just use the "send to" button and then select the "add to home screen" button. Then it's on your screen (or filed away in a folder if you prefer) whenever you want to shop.

I set a goal on my Goodreads profile last year to read 30 books and I'm proud to say that I actually finished 27 books. You can read all my reviews here.

My reading goal for 2017 is to complete 24 books. How about you? Anyone else out there set reading goals or participate in the goodreads reading challenge?

I'll be following up with a reading related posts throughout the year. I also consistently pin ideas to my Reading & Book Love board on Pinterest if you would like to follow me there.
