My PicTapGo confession

You all know how much I love photo editing apps, right? Well, I have several photo apps on my devices that I never even use. I'm a bit of a digital hoarder when it comes to apps! PicTapGo falls under the category of "downloaded but never used" in my world. I actually have opened it once or twice, but just got overwhelmed and didn't dig in and figure it out. So.... I decided it was time to change that!

I usually just open an app and push all the buttons until I figure it out. In this case, I felt like I was missing some key information to get the most out of the features so I looked up some official videos.

Becky Higgins also talks about how she uses PicTapGo for editing her photos.

OK, that is easy enough! Now it's time to play! Here's my original and unedited photo taken just about 10 days ago.

I love that you can see all the different possibilities in small preview windows!

I used Lights Out for this one and the colors turned out so bright and vibrant.

The Auto Color filter really shows what the scene actually looked like when I was there.

image.jpg

The Pier Pressure filter gives a warm and hazy look to the photo.

I decided to play around with another photo from the same trip. We went 4-wheeling on some trails above Park City. It was a beautiful day! This is my unedited photo.

Again, love seeing all the choices.

The Sweet Tooth filter is a little intense for this photo (I could have lessened the effect with the slider) but I love that it showed the colors on the mountains in the distance. I know that it is still officially Summer, but the mountains say it is Fall!

Lots of color pop from the Dream World filter as well. Fun to see the distance get all dreamy though.

Mama's Tap Shoes is a filter that makes it look like I took this photo with a camera from the 1970s. Funny how we replicate that with apps now!

I decided to play around with one more photo. This one is not edited and the sky really was that blue.

Great possibilities!

Faux Fi gives a crisp and bright look to the photo.

Crossroads adds some warmer tones.

Simple Black and White does a great job of turning color to B&W. Always a good test to see how your photo turns out when it is changed to black and white.

PicTapGo is available in iTunes (sorry Android peeps!) and it now will be a frequently used app on my devices!
