My Social Book

I have to credit Janet at The Daily Digi for introducing me to My Social Book! I honestly wouldn't have tried it out without reading her experience because I was a bit of a skeptic about these types of books. Boy, was I wrong! I definitely recommend My Social Book and I'm listing it as one of my "Picks and Tricks"

Just like Janet's review, my post is NOT a paid endorsement. I just ordered the book and gave it a try and really loved the result. I used my daughter's Facebook feed for the project (you need to be signed in as the user you want the book created for) and I just had to make a few simple decisions on theme and color. Everything else was done automatically. I gave this to her as a birthday gift and she just loved it! We spent a few hours reading through all of it together. You can even scan QR codes from videos! It was a big hit with her and she is so happy to have this part of her story documented in a fun way.

Everything was pretty much auto arranged for this project by the site software. I simply answered a few questions about color scheme and general setup.

I was very impressed with the quality of the pictures, especially since a lot of them were from internet memes. Everything looks great in this book!

A couple of notes:

  • If you haven't posted much on Facebook, there won't be much to put in your book. My daughter doesn't post a ton, but she has been fairly consistent about adding memories to Facebook over the past several years. I was kind of surprised at how much there was to include!
  • I didn't do much to customize my daughter's book and I'm very happy with it. If you want to look into different options, be sure to check out the help section on the site.
  • I chose the matte photo hardover option for her book and had it printed with standard paper. Now there is also an option for a deluxe paper, but I've never tried that.
  • My daughter's book ended up being 189 pages long which is a great size. With shipping, her book cost about $90. I did not have any coupons and I paid for quicker shipping so it would arrive in time for her birthday.

In the back of her book, there is a coupon code that I can share with all of you.

Tell Your Friends! Give this $11 voucher code to all your friends and use it for your next order: LP18866B2 for $11 off for a purchase of $55 or above on www.mysocialbook.com. Valid until December 24. 2015. Can't be added to other discounts.

I'd like to order a book for myself soon. I'd also love to hear if any of you have tried this out yet?
