I took 12 pictures yesterday to commemorate the 12th day of the month. Now there’s only one more 12th in the year! Here’s what the 12th of November looked like in my world (at least according to my iPhone camera).
I browsed through some toy catalogs while I ate breakfast. I’m always happy when a new Lego catalog comes, but I’ve put myself on a buying restriction until we get a few of our sets built. Of course, I did lift the embargo long enough to order the holiday village set and advent calendars when they came out last month. Really, I think that’s perfectly acceptable. lol!
We are enjoying the freshly ground peanut butter and almond butter we bought at Whole Foods the other day. We also got some wildflower honey and it is delicious!
The morning was filled with homeschool and some template designing. It was a rather un-photographable few hours. I was excited about eating heirloom tomatoes for lunch though. I paid a pretty penny for them the other night at Whole Foods, but I don’t even care because they tasted so good. I really miss having tomatoes from our garden and these gave me a wonderful little taste of summer.
Which was especially welcome since this is what it looked like outside.
Back to my computer to answer some emails, work on a blog post, and more homeschool.
Then, as I typically seem to do on the 12th every month, I forgot to take pictures for awhile. I got busy with everyday life and didn’t think about photographing it. At the end of our long workday, the kids and I were ready for a break. We took a drive and listened to Harry Potter (we are on Book 7 now). I made a deposit at the bank atm and then we went out for an early dinner. My husband had a business dinner that meant he would be home a little late, so the three of us went to Zupas for soup and sandwiches. I had chicken chili enchilada soup and the ultimate grilled cheese sandwich. It hit the spot on a chilly night.
My son brought a book along with him (he always does) - The Big Book of Duh.
Riley and I took pictures of our food (we always do).
We got home around 7:00 and hubby was close behind us. He decided to fix our broken tub faucet.
Then we all played Uno Attack as a family. We love to play games together.
I won the first round and hubby won the second. Riley couldn’t resist mugging for the camera.
Jeff might be slightly addicted to checking his phone. I’d give him a hard time, but I’m not much better myself. lol!
And that was the end of my picture-taking for the day. I guess I could have photographed watching a musical (Chicago) or working on my computer, but I was just happy to have finished my 12 of 12 for the 11th time this year. Only one more month to go! I think we need to figure out something cool to do on 12-12-12!
