How is it possible that I woke up to this beauty outside my window, when millions of people are suffering through a storm called Sandy? I’ve spent the morning reading about all the devastation and I’m at a loss for what to say. Just reading the brief state by state impact overwhelms me. I feel worried and helpless. I can’t imagine how long it will take to clean all of this up?
I’m also grateful that we have such good technology that there was plenty of warning of the impending storm. My husband was due to go on a business trip to Philadelphia and New Jersey this week. He was supposed to fly out on Sunday and return late tonight. Thankfully, the company that was hosting him called and told him to cancel. I’m so glad he’s here in Utah today instead of being stranded somewhere back east.
