Confession #1 – I realized about an hour ago that I forgot to do a blog post for today. I strongly considered just bagging it all together for today. Then I went on Pinterest and saw a few things that made me cringe and/or laugh and I decided to share them here. It made me realize that documenting your pet peeves would be a fun scrapbooking topic. Oh, and its therapeutic also!
Confession #2 – This elf on the shelf thing is a head-scratcher for me. I mean, I get it – it’s fun for kids to wake up each day and figure out what the elf has been up to, but let me just say that my kids are the type who would have run screaming into their rooms if they walked into the bathroom to see a doll fishing for crackers in the toilet. I would be right behind them! I would have also spent the night awake in my bed worrying that the elf would fall into the toilet by morning. Yep, that’s how my brain works.
Confession #3 – I get tired of hearing skinny chicks complain about their weight. I know that’s just kind of mean to say, but come on!
Confession #4 – I’m SO tired of politics and I’ve seriously had to hide some people on facebook. I don’t mind that they have their own opinion, I just don’t understand why they don’t realize not everyone feels the same way they do. My biggest pet peeve is when I get included on mass emails for political “facts” that they think everyone should know. Have they never heard of snopes.com? This particular one has been going around my neighborhood for awhile now and it’s just false. Just because you get an email about it, doesn’t mean it’s true. It also doesn’t mean that you need to send it to everyone in your email address book! I think it’s sad that people are so quick to jump to hatred when it comes to politics.
Confession #5 – Some days I just feel like a failure. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one out there who struggles with this. A friend on facebook posted a link to this article last night and it was just what I needed to read. Be sure to follow the links to the other articles mentioned because they are great as well. Our society has some strange ideas on what mothers should look like these days – the “Frankenmommy” comment is just right on.
What are some of your confessions? Have you ever written them down? Have you ever scrapbooked them? I’m definitely going to turn some of these into pages!

P.S. - Don't forget to take 12 pictures today!
