It’s time for me to gather up the details of the past month and put them all into one place. This is such a great tool for scrapbooking, and it also helps me keep everything straight! September was a very busy month for me, but also a good one.
What reading/learning did I do this month?
I spent a ton of my reading time on homeschool related items. Let’s just say that after the third time around, I better remember the details about early civilizations. lol! I guess it wasn’t enough for me to get myself through school, I needed to teach my son and daughter to make it stick!
What entertainment did I watch/listen to this month?
Hubby and I started watching the BBC Sherlock series and we are really enjoying it! Seasons one and two are available in the instant section of Netflix so we watch them using our Apple TV.
Our family finished watching season 16 of Survivor just in time to start the current season. There have only been 2 episodes so far, but they’ve been pretty memorable. We really liked Jonathan in Micronesia so we are sort of rooting for hi Jeff Kent is another favorite for us and we are interested to watch what happens with him. We are a little embarrassed that Angie is representing the state of Utah. Cookies? Oh Angie. It’s the type of answer I might have given, but I’m definitely not Survivor material. Not even a little bit.
We’ve been watching a few Everybody Loves Raymond classic episodes now that it’s on instant Netflix. Such a funny show! And if you are a woman, or have ever lived with a woman, you need to watch Bad Moon Rising – it’s hilarious!
What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
We threw a fun murder mystery party for my daughter’s 16th birthday. I’m so excited to scrap the pictures and tell the story of this fun event!
We went to the Utah Shakespeare Festival (second time this year) to see the fall season plays. We had some friends come along as well and we really enjoyed the whole weekend.
- Hubby and I went out for frozen yogurt a few times and also went to dinner with some friends.
- Riley and I went shopping for jewelry and fun things while in Cedar City and I even bought myself some necklaces (I hardly ever wear jewelry).
- Riley and I also got to meet Katrina Kennedy and attend one of her photography classes.
- My brother Zach came to dinner 3 times in September. It’s so fun to have him close by!
- I went with Alex to help him get a state ID card. He’s so official now!
- I got my hair cut 2 inches shorter. I’ve been feeling so “blah” lately and it really helped to change things up a bit.
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
Still working on healing my shoulder. Well, I’m not sure “working” is the right term because I’m basically just trying not to aggravate it at all, which means not using it very much. This is the first month since May that I feel like there has at least been some improvement though, so I’m finally feeling hopeful that it will eventually get better. I had a minor cold (twice) but I was able to keep it from progressing into a sinus infection which is big for me.
What were my accomplishments this month?
I designed 3 sets of templates for my little blog shop:
We recorded 4 episodes of The Digi Show in September. Even though it takes a lot of time, I really enjoy doing these podcasts. It’s so neat that I get to visit with amazing people from all over digiland and I totally look forward to my time with Steph and Peppermint each week. Love those ladies! Each image is linked to the individual show.
I did my usual posting on The Daily Digi. I thought it would be fun to link to all my posts here. I also created the graphics for each post which is kind of like creating a mini scrapbook page.
I scrapped 20 layouts (images are linked to the post where they originally appeared)
I’m proud of myself for getting my roundup done! Have you done your roundup yet? You can start at any time – you’ll be glad you did!
