I have to admit that I wasn’t thrilled that the 12th fell on a Sunday because it’s my least photo-worthy day of the week. We go to church each Sunday, but that’s not exactly a place to whip out the camera and start snapping away. Beyond that, we don’t do a whole lot on Sundays. I usually spend a few hours on the computer scrapping pages, organizing photos, and planning out blog posts for the coming week. My kids do a lot of relaxing in their rooms – my son reads, my daughter knits and watches movies or listens to music. It’s all pretty low-key, which is nice for us, but not nearly so exciting for the camera. We’ve already had the 12th on a Sunday this year back in February and that was the month I almost forgot to take any pictures! This project is all about capturing everyday life though, so I guess it’s good to throw a Sunday in the mix a few times. Thankfully, we won’t have any more Sundays on the 12th though!
This particular Sunday was a little out of the ordinary for me because my youngest brother and parents were on their way here for a short visit. This means that my house was MUCH cleaner than it usually is on a Sunday.
Photo-bomber
Our office
Another photo-bomber! His was unintentional though.
All dressed up for church
I was proud of myself for getting chicken in the crockpot early on. Chicken breasts with mango salsa from Costco. We shred the chicken and use it for tacos.
Hubby was the one who did the chicken shredding.
My parents were delayed because of a dead car battery. We have a charger in our garage so we got them all hooked up.
I had cookies waiting for them when they arrived, Not homemade, but still pretty tasty.
Riley and my Mom settled in on their laptops. Riley thinks she’s so funny to put on her hipster glasses with her pajamas.
Grandma decided to be hipster. LOL!
I wanted to take a picture of Alex, but he had a shirt on that had some personal information on it. He told me he could take care of that.
Another 12 of 12 is on the books!
