I’m on “tour” during the month of July and you’re invited to come along as I visit some of my favorite online destinations! This is my 3rd year of tours and you can find all my past stops in this post. Today’s stop is a great place for scrapbookers, bloggers, and anyone who likes to make and keep special memories. Log Your Memory is a fabulous community and resource that I’m excited to share with you! You will find weekly challenges, prompts for scrapbooking, and plenty of ideas and products to help you keep track of your memories and inspire you to share them with others.
I love the weekly story starter lists on the Log Your Memory blog. This feature is called Something to Jot About and it’s a weekly list of 10 story starters on a timely topic. This recent post about relaxation is just perfect for summer!
I like to browse the layout gallery for scrapping inspiration. There are a lot of talented scrapbookers who post to the LYM gallery.
There are some other useful posts on the public blog at Log Your Memory. I’ve referred back to to this with 20 Questions to help you scrap life’s decisions several times now for my own journaling.
There’s even a forum where registered users can interact.
A lot of the content at Log Your Memory is only available to members of the site. How do you become a member? Just simply purchase the product you are interested in and you will get a membership to access the related content on the site. Cool! My new favorite LYM publication is Scrap Your Real Life. I talked about it on episode #46 of The Digi Show when Kristin Rutten (owner of LYM) was a guest. She shared a coupon to save 20% off any version of the book (print or download) so I’m going to encourage you to take a quick detour on this little adventure and grab that code so you can enjoy the savings! Be sure to listen to the show so you can get to know Kristin better because she’s soooo nice and very inspiring!
I’m also a big fan of the yearly Memory Logbooks. I’ve used them on and off for a few years now and they are a great memory keeping tool!
The weekly time capsule challenges download is something new I picked up while I was visiting the Log Your Memory site. I’m always looking for prompts and ideas to help me stay motivated and this is right up my alley.
The description says: Capture your everyday real life through a complete year of memory keeping inspiration based on the theme: Time Capsule. Through our 52 Weekly Challenges, each beginning with a list of possible inspiration objects from your everyday life and supported with a list of questions to help you think about potential related stories, you will develop the habit of looking around you to find the inspiration for your memory keeping.
Use alone or in conjunction with our 2012 Memory Logbook!
and now I have access to everything that goes along with the huge file download – what a bonus!
As the owner of Real Life Scrapbooking Weekly Challenges: Time Capsule, you now have access to our Member’s Only area for this product. There you will find additional resources to help you get the most from your purchase, such as printable downloads, occasional coupon offers, and other resources.
I hope you find something fun at Log Your Memory. Thanks for joining me for day 2 of my summer tour! Special thanks to Kate Hadfield for her great doodles. I always use them for my summer tour graphics because they are so much fun!
