What reading/learning did I do this month? (books, blogs, magazines, ebooks, podcasts, classes, etc.)
Let’s just say that it was the final month of our homeschool program. I’m lucky that I got through that so I’m not going to beat myself up too much for not doing a lot of outside reading/learning.
What entertainment did I watch/listen to this month? (movies, tv shows, plays, music, concerts, etc.)
Survivor – including the 3 hour finale
The Avengers – fun popcorn movie that I enjoyed more than I thought I would. I’m loving Robert Downey Jr. in the Ironman role.
Father of the Bride at a local theater
What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
- multiple birthday party with my in-laws
- graduation party for my son
- going to the movie with some friends
- going to a fancy event with my husband
- double date dinner with some long-time friends
- hubby taking each of the kids out to dinner individually when they finished school
- live rock band performance where my son got to sing a song
- bowling and fro-yo with my kids & hubby
- played several games with my kids
- a whole bunch of online digi shopping on National Scrapbook Day!
- out to dinner with Steph (Daily Digi) and Kayla (Digiscrap 101)
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
Several birthdays and Mother’s Day. We got my Father-in-Law 4 automatic soap dispensers since he always asks about ours when he comes over. We ordered my Mother-in-Law a paintbrush stylus for her iPad (thanks to Peppermint sharing it as a pick on The Digi Show). We gave my nephew a Star Wars puzzle and Star Wars gun. I gave my Mom a digi store gift certificate.
I had the best Mother’s Day ever with some time off to just relax!
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I seem to have strained my shoulder when I went bowling. Somewhat embarrassing to admit, but it really hurt and it has slowed me down a bit over the last few weeks.
What were my accomplishments this month?
Finishing up with our school year was a giant accomplishment. We also got through state testing. I’ve been extremely busy with some family projects and I’m proud of myself for getting so much done on top of my already busy schedule. Somehow, in the middle of it all, I was a Scrappy McGee and created 23 layouts!
(all layouts are linked to the post where they originally appeared)
I recorded 3 digi show podcasts with Steph and Peppermint and we got to visit with some fantastic guests such as Kate Hadfield, Katrina Kennedy, and Kayla Lamoreaux.
Anything else noteworthy to include?
I’m proud of myself for writing my daily details on ohlife for 22 days in May. That’s the first time I’ve ever done that and it was a big help with my roundup! I lost steam at the end of the month, but I really want to get back on the bandwagon this month.
I’m proud of myself for getting my roundup done! Have you done your roundup yet? You can start at any time – you’ll be glad you did!
P.S. You can be part of my Roundup Posse! If you want to leave a link to your own roundup – head on over to the bottom of this post and fill out the new linky tool. So fun!
