This is my brain on Pinterest

Do you remember those old commercials of “this is your brain on drugs”? That ad campaign used to stick in my mind because I didn’t want to fry my brain like an egg! Well, when I recorded last week’s Digi Show all about Pinterest, I couldn’t help but think of how much happier my brain is now that I found Pinterest. My brain is sizzling with ideas now! I revealed a lot of my secret Pinterest power user tips on the podcast so be sure to take a listen.

Peppermint said that she likes how I pin a wide variety of different things. That’s one of my favorite parts of pinning – I don’t have to stick to a certain topic. I think my pinboards are a pretty accurate reflection of how much I have going on in my brain at any given time. Want to know what I’m thinking about lately? I had the best cheese assortment the other day (at the airport, of all places!) at the Cat Cora deli. I’ve been thinking about how to combine cheeses to make an appetizing and appealing cheese plate so I was excited to find this resource.

Steph got me thinking about Once a Month cooking in this episode of The Digi Show and this plan looks like it goes along with how we are trying to eat these days. Now I just have to get the motivation up to actually do a prep day marathon!

I love salads and I really miss eating them. Lettuce makes me sick to my tummy so I’ve cut out salads, but I’ve been thinking that I’ll just start making them without lettuce. I found a bunch of recipes that will work!

I don’t know about the vintage part, but I’ve been thinking that I need to have some sort of wrap to put my laptop in and one for my iPad too so they don’t get scratched up when I put them in bags for traveling (local and long distance). I love this simple idea!

We are still planning on a redo of my son’s room to reflect his love of rock music. The little “you rock” printable card here gives me some ideas that go along with some of the things we talked about in the home decorating project episode of The Digi Show. So fun!
