I’m happy to report that I remembered to take 12 photos on the 12th of May and I had some pretty cool things to photograph that day! My hubby basically spoiled me rotten this weekend by giving me the gift I needed the very most – a break! I got to spend time away without any kids, homeschool, housework, or any type of work at all. The last time I had a getaway like that was back in 2009.
I had a very out of the ordinary day and I had fun capturing it with my camera. I think my favorite part was just walking around taking pictures of beautiful flowers like these:
Or maybe the best part was visiting one of my favorite toy stores. Yes, I love to go to fancy toy stores, even when my kids aren’t with me.
I love the window displays for JouJou!
I bought this super cool London Globee for my globe collection. A fun and frivolous purchase!
I browsed through the shops at Trolley Square and dreamed some dreams in the Pottery Barn store. I didn’t buy anything, but I made big plans in my head.
I finally got to visit the Whole Foods store at Trolley Square. It was fun to shop there and I loved being able to find so many foods without high fructose corn syrup. I even bought some chicken empanadas from the deli case so I wouldn’t have to cook on Mother’s Day.
I had a chance to do some reading in this great book (a recommendation from one of my blog readers – thanks Christine!)
On top of everything else he did, hubby also gave me this beautiful bouquet of flowers.
When I got home in the late afternoon, we all went to see The Avengers (fun action film) with some family friends. We finished off the day with dinner at Chipolte (yum!)
I’m fully aware that I had a magical 12th of May. I’m very grateful for that wonderful day!
