We get invited to a lot of weddings, especially at this time of year. We know a lot of young people and we know a lot of parents of young people, so that means a lot of wedding invites. I’ve rotated through a lot of gift ideas over the years and I’ve also tried to shop from gift registries at times. I’ve finally settled on what I think is the perfect gift for all newlyweds and it’s something that is really easy for me to have on hand.
I’ve never met anyone who couldn’t use a little help with a grocery store bill. It’s expensive to set up house. For that matter, it’s expensive to keep a house going! So I keep a few grocery store gift cards on hand and when wedding comes up, I put the gift card inside a home printed card. I use Bazill cardstock (my favorite!) and a word art piece from the Sweetie Pie kit by Shabby Princess. It’s a simple and sweet message, and everyone seems to really appreciate it.
