I’m proud of myself for getting another 12 pictures taken for the 12 of 12 in 12 project. Now I have successfully completed 4 months of taking 12 pictures on the 12th. Even though I had a hard time getting motivated to take photos during the day, I’m glad I pushed myself to do it because I love having our everyday life captured – even when it’s sort of mundane. Yesterday certainly was a very ordinary day.
We worked on school.
My daughter had a geography test. Most of the test was done online, but she did have to print out and color code a map to represent different areas in Europe, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia. She also had to mark where certain religions are most predominant.
It was a gray day so we all felt a little lethargic. It rained a good portion of the afternoon.
We all got stir crazy by about 4:30 p.m. so we hopped in the car for a drive and some Harry Potter. We love listening to the audio books and we are almost at the end of book 4. Even though we’ve read/listened/watched before, it’s still totally intense!
When we got home we decided to check on the garden. The garlic we planted last fall is doing really well.
My daughter planted onions a few weeks ago and they are also looking good.
She’s also growing a few varieties of lettuce that she’s quite excited about. She’s quite the gardener!
My son came out to join her in the garden area because she had some questions about Harry Potter. He has some fun informational books about the series that he loves to study. He’s happiest when he has a book in his hands.
She’s happiest when she has garden dirt in her hands!
The sky finally cleared up in the evening. It was still cold out, but we got to see the sun right before it set.
I went inside to do some laundry and I peeked out a window to see if they were still out there. It was fun to watch them conversing with each other. I love that they are such good friends.
And of course, I spent a few hours on my computer. I worked on the Funtastic Friday post for The Daily Digi, answered some email, scrapped a few layouts for The Daily Digi team assignments, and composed this blog post.
A pat on the back for 12 photos of my life on April 12, 2012!
