Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.
The old adage proved true on the particular day I took this photo - this was sunrise. The sky was beautiful with oranges, pinks, and even some red. My daughter and I speculated on the “sailor’s warning” and wondered what it would bring. It certainly didn’t look like a snowy day was on the way. Within a few hours, it became clear that the morning sky had truthfully predicted a storm and by late afternoon it was snowing.
Sometimes life can seem so beautiful and peaceful, and then there’s a storm right around the corner. I guess the trick is to try to capture the vibrant colors of those fleeting moments. I’m so glad my handy little iPhone camera helped me grab this one.
