Just some random products that I’m loving right now:
Mission Artisan Tortillas in Flaxseed/Blue Corn Blend. These are really good and are healthier than flour tortillas. I used them for our favorite taquito recipe and they were SO tasty! We make tacos and tostadas with them as well.
Food Rules by Michael Pollan with fun illustrations by Maira Kalman. A simple book that makes so much sense. My hubby bought this for me as a birthday gift and we both ended up reading it from cover to cover.
Caning and Preserving for Dummies - I'm always impressed by the "For Dummies" books, although I don't particularly care for the "Dummies" title - lol! I have to admit that as a newbie to the canning process, I probably fit the title though. I just started canning last year and I've been studying as many books and websites as possible to learn everything I can. This book is a great resource to have on hand and has given me ideas for preserving that I didn't even know existed. I was especially happy to find the section on dehydrating foods as I would love to get a dehydrator this year.
There are no photos in this book, just information broken down into easy to understand steps. Like the other "For Dummies" books, there are some fun cartoons and helpful charts and illustrations. This is a great addition to my library of canning books, and I'm pretty sure that even those more experienced with preserving would find quite a bit to inspire them in this book as well.
Papermate Inkjoy pens. Yes, a pen can be a big deal to me and I have a hard time finding ones that I love. I really like the smooth flow and non-smudging ink of this pen and I think I need to treat myself to a set of colored ones! I also like the little ad campaign they have going on about this pen being the one that everyone will want to steal.
How’s that for a random post? I know I always like to hear about what others have tried and liked though, so hopefully you enjoyed it as well!
