I was thinking about how I'm behind on every single project and responsibility in my life right now and it was making me feel sort of depressed. I'm having such a hard time keeping up on everything lately, especially with being sick for close to 3 weeks at the end of January/first part of February and then taking a vacation to California. Let's just say that I have stacks everywhere that need dealing with - both in the physical form on my desk, and in the virtual form on my computer.
Then, I felt a real sense of accomplishment and happiness because I have been able to keep up with one thing - my iPhone photo a day project! I've taken a picture every day since December 1st and even if I get behind in posting them to Flickr, it's still easy to get caught up. I love this little app and I am very happy with the easy approach I'm taking with this project. I'm also capturing some fun memories and getting better at using my iPhone camera. I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorites so far from February:
A yummy baked potato with lots of green onions. I do love to take pictures of food and my iPhone makes it so easy. I edited this photo with the automatic setting in the Snapseed app.
I usually don't let my gas tank get so close to empty, but when I looked at the gauge one morning (thanks to the gas warning light) I realized how symbolic it was of how I was feeling in the middle of being sick. I was running on empty as well. Not the highest quality picture, but rich in meaning.
I'm having so much fun with the instagram app and I thought this picture taken through a window at the airport turned out kind of cool.
Nothing too exciting in this one, just some dishtowels I folded on laundry day. I would have never taken a picture of dishtowels or laundry without a project like this. My mom will also be pleased to know that I finally bought some new dishtowels (Target) as I've had a rather pathetic collection for many years.
My hubby was out of town so I pardoned myself from cooking (any excuse will do) and took the kids out to dinner. I edited this photo with the camera+ app which has some really cool features. It might be my new favorite photo app.
So even though the hampers are full, the mail is unopened, and everything else is piling up, I'm caught up on something. I'll pat myself on the back for that!
