This was my iPhone photo of the day (I used Instagram) a few days ago. I was driving by an empty field and the morning sun was so pretty. It’s funny how weeds can look beautiful in the right light. I’m really glad I stopped for a quick picture.I’m enjoying the act of taking a daily photo. It’s not a chore, it’s something I look forward to each day. I’ve limited my tools (iPhone only) and kept it intentionally simple.
What I’m loving most about taking a photo every day is that it makes me look for something beautiful in the ordinary. I’m capturing everyday life, but I’m mindful of choosing something to represent something I want to remember. It’s like I’m looking for the “right light” of each day and that has become a meaningful activity on it’s own. I’m appreciating the weeds in life a little more and looking for light. Those are good things to focus on.
