Chocolate causes certain endocrine glands to secrete hormones that affect your feelings and behavior by making you happy. Therefore, it counteracts depression, in turn reducing the stress of depression. Your stress-free life helps you maintain a youthful disposition, both physically and mentally. So, eat lots of chocolate!
- Elaine Sherman, Book of Divine Indulgences
I am determined to keep up my “youthful disposition” so I think I will have some of my new favorite chocolate today…
I never used to understand the dark chocolate thing. I thought people who said they liked dark chocolate better than milk chocolate were liars. Seriously. Then I made the switch and I can’t go back. Milk chocolate tastes wimpy to me now. Now that I’ve gone to the dark side, I can’t go back. I’m ok with this since it’s healthier, and it takes a much smaller amount to satisfy a craving. In fact, I rarely crave chocolate anymore which is an interesting result of this change. When I do eat dark chocolate, I’m a big fan of this Lindt Orange Intense bar. Yum! I also like the dark chocolate with sea salt, it’s tasty!
It’s all for medicinal reasons of course. Read the quote!
