A day without photography is like a day without sunshine. Actually, that’s why there wasn’t any photography action yesterday – it was dark and rainy all day! I have a really hard time taking pictures when it’s gloomy outside. I love natural light in photos and when it’s hard to come by, I don’t feel like getting the camera out.
It’s also a little hard to take pictures when you spend most of the day in front of the computer doing homeschool (finals are next week), and then a good chunk of the day at the orthodontist with the kids. My “photographer at play” theme just didn’t happen yesterday because of all of those circumstances. It made me realize how much I’ve enjoyed playing with my camera each day this month. It even makes me want to keep up that goal after the month of May is over. I’m finding a lot of joy behind the camera right now.
Today’s a new day though, and even with another rainy day in the forecast…
I vow to get out the camera anyway! I won’t let Mother Nature win again!

P.S. If you are signed up for my Power Scrapping workshop, head on over to Big Picture Classes because today's the first day! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late!
