I have set a personal “rule” for myself to always have my roundup done by the 5th of the following month. This has helped me stay on task with my roundups for 6 years now. I didn’t work on this one until the 6th of March though and I’m finally getting it posted on the 7th. I’m understanding why I’ve set that guideline for myself, because it really is harder to do this as more time passes. I’m committed though. I so totally believe in this simple little tool. It keeps me accountable in so many ways, and it makes memory keeping a lot easier. So, here I go with rounding up my February 2011.
.
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
Without a doubt, February 2011 was the busiest month my family has ever had. I didn’t do any extra reading other than homeschool stuff. My son and I did discover that we love to do crossword puzzles together and that’s our new special thing to do together when we take airplane trips. I bought a book of crosswords in the airport bookstore and it kept us busy the whole flight home from Orange County, CA to Salt Lake City, UT.
What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
Survivor started up again and we all had fun watching it together. It always takes me a few weeks to get into it, but I think last week’s episode was one of the best ever. We sure don’t like Russell! (boo, hiss!) Ok, I know it’s just a show, but you other Survivor fans out there will understand. We’ve only watched it for a few seasons now, but we get pretty into it. lol!

What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
Disneyland! We worked so hard the whole month of February, but my kids and I played just as hard for a few days in Disneyland. My hubby had business meetings and a trade show right by Disneyland so we went with him. He had client dinners at night so we literally only saw him when it was time for bed each night. We totally partied it up though!
This picture was taken right before we saw the World of Color show that evening. We spent 13 hours out in Downtown Disney and the parks that day. We had so much fun!
Hubby did get to join us the last day for about 5 hours of park time. We ate at the Blue Bayou restaurant which is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ll blog more about that when I get caught up on my New 52 posts.
.
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
My Sister-in-Law had a birthday and we gave her Brian Regan’s new CD (SO funny!) and some flowers.
.
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Oodles of Disney goodies. Camtasia (a program for recording screencasts), and just the usual groceries, gas, and life supplies.
.
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I was pretty healthy the first part of the month and thought I was getting a handle on some of my tummy issues, but then I got really sick from some corn chowder in Disneyland. I’ve had quite a few bouts over the last few weeks.
I did get my stitches out from the lump I had removed from my leg last month. I’m happy to report that the pathology report came back clean.
I’ve had a lot of hand and finger pain lately. It seems like I’m getting problems with my right hand now as well. I’m sure the excessive amount of computer time hasn’t helped anything.
.
What were my accomplishments this month?
It was such a crazy month that I just feel good about getting through it! I had all my usual stuff like The Daily Digi, this blog, and the Paperclipping Digi Show podcast, and I’ve also been hard at work on workshop for Big Picture. Registration will open later this month and I’ll tell you all about it then. On top of all of that, we had an especially busy homeschool month, and hubby had a very crazy schedule in February. So it just kind of all piled up on us and it was a bit overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, everything is good, it’s just that there was so much all at once.
.
What were my disappointments this month?
Not being able to keep up with everything. I did a ton, but I didn’t do everything I needed to. I’m not sure how I would have been able to do more anyway, but I still tend to beat myself up mentally if I don’t get it all done.
The Utah Jazz pretty much fell apart. Jerry Sloan and Phil Johnson retired. Deron Williams was traded. Big losing streak.
.
How did I do on my goals for the month? (Or any current short or long term goals)
My one little word for the year is “healthy” and I’m not sure I did much to honor that word in February.
.
Anything else noteworthy to include?
Digi layouts from February. (each one is linked to where it appeared online)
.
Feels good to get my roundup done!

P.S. the font I used for the roundup titles is shadowed serif available for free on dafont.com.
