Welcome back to my summer blog tour. I think we should all get to travel the world more often, but that just isn’t practical for most of us. Thank goodness for the internet! I’m taking my blog “on tour” for the next few weeks so we can all enjoy a fun virtual vacation together. Hope you enjoy it!
DAY 13 – NOT SO HUMBLE PIE
Prepare for mouth watering as we visit the Not So Humble Pie blog. Seriously delicious looking food (and photography!) All images lead back to the Not So Humble site.
.
The Science Cookie Roundup posts are some of my favorites!
.
Shoo Fly Pie (the winning entry from Ms. Humble’s recent pie recipe contest.
.
Sour Cream Lemon Muffins. I’m officially hungry now!
.
Lollipops and Sugar Science. A rather detailed post about scientific stuff (did I mention she has a science background?) – quite fascinating really, and also a fun recipe to try.
.
The Perfect Ice Cream Sandwich. Beautiful! Can you imagine living with a talented baker like her? Somebody needs to give this woman a cookbook deal!
.
Here’s the fun part of the blog tour – I’m going to show you how to pick up your own “souvenirs” from our online travels.
.
If I could, I’d take the Humble kitchen as a souvenir, or at least the beautiful refrigerator! Love this so much.
.
Make your own candy bars? I’m in! This looks soooooo good!
.
Although many of Ms. Humble’s recipes are a little too complex for me to tackle, I actually did make these cookies because of this post. Here’s my photo of our Petri Dish Cookies that raised $110.00 for our local food bank. They were a big hit!
.
Ok, I’m pretty sure I will be spending some time in the kitchen today!
.
Hope you enjoyed today’s tour. Keep your “passport” ready and join me tomorrow for another fun virtual visit!
P.S. If you are looking for the cute graphics I’ve used for these posts, they are all hand-drawn by Kate Hadfield and are available for purchase here. One of the kits I used has been retired, but she has a similar pack for sale here.
