Welcome back to my summer blog tour. I think we should all get to travel the world more often, but that just isn’t practical for most of us. Thank goodness for the internet! I’m taking my blog “on tour” for the next few weeks so we can all enjoy a fun virtual vacation together. Hope you enjoy it!
DAY 3 - PHOTOJO:
Today’s stop is the Photojojo site. (A silly sidenote – Every time I read the word “Photojojo” I end up saying it in my head like “Mojo Jo Jo” the monkey from Power Puff girls. If you ever watched that show, you know what I mean! lol!)
You can read the Photojojo content like a blog or subscribe to a twice-weekly email newsletter. I’ve been reading Photojojo for years and I’m continually bookmarking great ideas that I find there.
Photofonts, what a brilliant idea!
.
Flying photos? This one sort of freaks me out, but it is really amazing!
.

Photospanning – some photos are too big for one frame!
.
Photo prank landmarks – how fun is this?!
.
Young Me, Now Me. I really want to do this!
.
Take the frame off the wall. I bought some inexpensive frames at IKEA so I could have some “frameworthy” fun of my own.
Love this perpetual wall calendar made from number photos!
Here’s the fun part of the blog tour – I’m going to show you how to pick up your own “souvenirs” from our online travels.
I love Photojojo and I love books so this was a no-brainer for me! My kids have also had fun looking at this one and there are all sorts of ideas to inspire you. The best price I have found is at amazon.com and by ordering through my amazon links, you contribute a few pennies to the Scrapbook Lady blog fund. :) Some of the projects from the book include: Ginormous Photo Mosaics, The Everyone who comes to visit you photo wall, Photo cupcakes, The human calendar, Photo silhouette prints, DIY time machine, Light painting, Doggie cam, as well as Camera Hacks and more.
.
Did you know that Photojojo has a store? I HAD to have one of these prints and I agonized over what color to order. I decided on the black one and it is now on it’s way to my house. How fun!
.
I added this collapsible camera holder to my order as well. Maybe now I will show up in some of our photos? Fabulous idea! I saw someone use one of these when I went to a crop party last year and I’ve wanted one ever since.
.
A magnetic photo rope is another thing that has been on my wish list for like forever, so I decided to go for it and order one! (Plus it helped me get past the magic $50 threshold to get free shipping – I’m silly like that.) I ordered a white one and I have several ideas for places to hang it. I’ll share pictures once I’ve got it all put together.
.
Inspired by this Photojojo post on the “Smartest Camera Strap Ever”, I did some more shopping. (Wow! This blog “trip” is getting expensive, but it’s like Disneyland for photo-lovin people like me. Gotta buy some souvenirs!)
Last time I went photowalking, I ended up with a bit of a red neck from my camera strap. I’ve been contemplating buying a strap cover since then, but I also hate the feeling of a heavy and bulky camera around my neck. I love the side sling idea though so I ordered the strap featured in the Photojojo post. Just a note – the price on the photojojo post is out of date because it was an older post of an older product. I found the new one on amazon for $59.00. You can also order directly from the company, but you will have to pay $6.00 shipping (shipping is free for this item at amazon). Either way, be sure to watch the video demonstration. It will make you want one too! I also added on the small Joey pouch to hold batteries & memory cards.
.
Hope you enjoyed today’s tour. Keep your “passport” ready and join me tomorrow for another fun virtual visit!
P.S. If you are looking for the cute graphics I’ve used for these posts, they are all hand-drawn by Kate Hadfield and are available for purchase here. One of the kits I used has been retired, but she has a similar pack for sale here.
