Feels so good to get my roundup done, it's a great way to recap the past month and it helps me feel ready to face the new month of memories to come!
Here's what my March of 2010 was all about:
1. What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
I got to review Every Last One by Anna Quindlen for the amazon vine program, so it was fun to be able to read this before it has even been released to the public. I really enjoyed it and was completely surprised by the turn of events because I don’t read the jacket covers on books like this (they always give too much info). If you read it, I would suggest you don’t read the back cover but just delve right into the book. This is one of those stories that might haunt me for awhile. It was very thought-provoking.
Another pre-release I got to review for amazon vine was a book that I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time now. I love The Book of Awesome just as much as I love the blog!
I spent a lot of time looking through these inspiring books and getting ideas for sewing projects and recipes. I tried a few recipes in each of the cookbooks and they were all very tasty!
2. What movies, television shows, plays, etc. did I watch this month?
LOST and LOST Untangled each week. We also watched a few Utah Jazz basketball games, some Disney Channel shows, and got all caught up on Burn Notice. We watched The Blind Side which was very good.
3. What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
March was an incredibly busy month for our family but we were able to squeeze in a few nights of going out to dinner so that was fun.
4. What gifts did I give and/or receive?
My birthday was in March and we went out to dinner and to see Brian Regan perform live. He was just hilarious! I got a new Lego set (lol) and a new lens for my camera. I haven’t used either one of them yet though since I’ve been so busy.
5. What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Medical and dental bills – yuck!
6. What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
I had to get a crown on my very back tooth (after having a root canal on it back in February) so I made a few trips to the dentist. I had a little scare with my overall health when it seemed like I had a problem with my heart. After several tests (and thousands of dollars in bills) it looks like I’m ok. My finger has gotten worse again and it doesn't seem to matter if I use it or not, the result it the same - pain and swelling. I guess I will have to go back in to the doctor.
7.What were my accomplishments this month?
I did a “Retro Week” series on my blog in March that was quite fun. I think I will throw in some theme weeks every once in a while since everyone liked it so much. I completed 18 digital scrapbook layouts and 1 little hybrid project (Easter goodie bags). I posted 10 times on The Daily Digi blog and I’ve updated my list of articles here. I posted 29 times on this blog.
8. What were my disappointments this month?
My computer had a complete meltdown which was a total bummer. Dell did fix it for free, but I had to start over from scratch and even had to install my own operating system. It took days to get everything up and running again. Fortunately, I had everything backed up (except for forgetting to back up my itunes library!)
9. How did I do on my goals for the month? (Or any current short or long term goals)
I started exercising more regularly and eating better. The health scare did wonders for my motivation. I decided to change one of my goals for this year and start blogging here only 5 days a week instead of the 7 that I’ve always done. This was a pretty hard decision for me, but I’m feeling good about it now.
10. Anything else noteworthy to include
Here are the layouts I completed in March. Each image is linked to the original blog post from either my own blog here, or The Daily Digi if you want to see credits or details for each creation.
I'm now looking forward to April and hoping for some spring weather.
Have you done your roundup yet? Don't wait too long! You will be so glad you took the time to roundup your month!
