This is my brother's cat Katie. No, she isn't named after his wonderful sister - she actually came with the name. She was his old roommate's cat and she needed a new home when that roommate got a pit bull. My brother adopted her and even though he's a big tough guy, he sure loves this cat! Now that his old roommate has passed away (sad story) I think that makes Katie the cat even more special to my brother.
I wish her name wasn't Katie though, because on the few occasions that we are all together, I get very confused with people saying "Katie" all the time - lol. She is a really pretty cat. She is a Norwegian Forest cat. There's a lot of fluffy fur on that little cat! I think her coloring is really beautiful.

In true cat fashion, she believes that owns the whole world!

Which reminds me of a funny post I did a few years ago about the difference between Dogs and Cats (Men and Women)
This also reminds me that our family had a cat for several years named Figaro. I don't think I have ever done a digital scrapbook page about Figaro and I have some pretty funny memories to document (like the time my daughter covered the cat in toothpaste!)
I've done a few pages about my dog Ginger, but I ran into this old photo the other day of her that just made me smile!

Thank goodness that was a dog toy, because she has been known to steal stuffed animals from the kids before. She seems to understand now that my daughter's room is off limits which is a good thing since there are tons of stuffed animals in there.
Pets certainly can liven things up in life. I never planned on having pets yet I've allowed mice, rats, hamsters, water frogs, fish, a cat, a rabbit, and a dog to all reside in my house over the past 13 years. How that ever happened I will never know. I apparently have no backbone when it comes to these things. LOL!
If you have pets do you scrapbook about them?
P.S. the pictures in this post were taken by my brother, my mom, and my daughter (and me).
