I found a new love and it's called mosaickr and it is so cool! You can use your flickr images (or even other people's creative commons licensed pictures from flickr) and it will generate a low resolution mosaic for free. Or you can order a high resolution copy for .99 EURO which is about $1.37 in U.S. money and pay pal will take care of the exchange rate for you.
I think you can use it even if you don't want to involve flickr, but I didn't really pay attention to those options once I saw I could link to my flickr account.
I uploaded this image to flickr
You are welcome to save this image to your own files by downloading it here from my blog or from my flickr photostream. It has a creative commons license on it and I created it using a commercial use ok font that is fine for freebies. I used this as the master image of my mosaic. If you use it for a mosaic and post it somewhere online, just be sure to give me credit for the master image. :) Or a little link back to my blog would be great also!
After I uploaded it I chose my Photo a Day set from 2008. So this mosaic was made with 366 photos.

Can you believe how cool that is? And I barely lifted a finger!
I also made one using my family photo set from 2008 which had more pictures in it. I think I like this one even better but I'm glad I did both.

I paid for the high resolution downloads of each one and I happily shelled out the $2.74. I can't wait to print these out or maybe even turn one of them into a digi page.
I know I will be using the mosaickr site again soon. So cool.
