Day 9 of my 24 days of Holiday Inspiration series
These are some of my very favorite Christmas songs:
Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms
Rockin around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
Run Run Rudolph - Chuck Berry (no one does this one as good as Chuck!)
Here Comes Santa Claus - Elvis Presley
Christmas Carol - Oakridge Boys
Little One - Oakridge Boys (this is one of my favorites!)
Little Drummer Boy - Bob Seger
Gabriel's Message - Sting
Gesu Bambino - Eaken Piano Trio (probably my all time favorite Christmas song)
Christmas - Baby Please Come Home - U2 (love this one!)
Jingle Bells - Willie Nelson (yes, I love Willie and it cracks me up to hear him say "harse" instead of "horse")
God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman - Baren*ked Ladies & Sarah McLachlan - don't want any yucky searchers finding me because of the name of that band - lol! Sarah has an amazing voice!!!
Winter Wonderland - Eurythmics
Mele Kalikimaka - Jimmy Buffet (and I always think of Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation when I hear this! lol!)
Silent Night/Away in a Manger - Raffi (don't laugh! It is an instrumental medley that is very pretty and I actually do still like Raffi songs even if my kids are mostly outgrowing him)
Stille Nacht (Silent Night) - Mannheim Steamroller (beautiful!)
That is all I can think of for now, I'm going to keep a little notebook in my car to jot down any others that occur to me as I listen to the radio. Don't forget to record the small details of the season. It's ok if you are too busy to scrapbook them now, just make some lists to use later.
