Don't let roundup time slip by you just because you are all worn out from the holidays. LOL! I know it takes some time to do, but you will thank me for it later when you have plenty of scrap-worthy material all ready to scrapbook! So be sure to round up December and then if you have been doing roundups all year long, you may want to do a quick year end recap. This is the time when your roundups will really pay off!
If you are a "regular" 'round here, ya'll know the drill. If not, well, here's the scoop!
I use this simple tool every month to "roundup" my memories and now I have a ton of great information to use for journaling and scrapbooking. I challenge you to join me in using the roundup tool. You can post your answers on your blog, use them on a layout, or just jot them down to as a record of the month's activities. You don't have to answer every single question and do all the tasks, just do what you can. You will be glad you did!
If you want to show your roundup pride, here's a blinkie for your blogs and/or siggy lines
You can read more about roundups by reading through some of my past posts about them.
What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
What special days did I celebrate and how?
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
What were this month's disappointments?
What were my accomplishments this month?
Anything else noteworthy to record?
Backup your digital pictures to cd/dvd and upload them to an online site or two for an extra backup. Send the links to the online albums to friends and family.
Choose photos (or digital layouts) to be printed out and get that done while you are thinking about it.
Make sure your scrapbooking area is cleaned up and organized. Put away new purchases (or organize your hard drive if you are a digi scrapper)
Look over the calendar for the coming month and make note of upcoming events you will want to capture for your scrapbooks.
Get those December memories rounded up!

Now if you want to do a year end roundup there are a couple of different approaches you can take.
You can use the following questions that are part of each month's roundup and apply them to the year. If you have been doing monthly roundups then this will be easy!
If you need some inspiration and ideas you might enjoy my blog entry on year end lists for 2007.

What books and/or magazines did I read this year?
What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this year?
What special days did I celebrate and how?
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this year?
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
What were this year's disappointments?
What were my accomplishments this year?
Anything else noteworthy to record?
Or you could take the information you have collected (even if you didn't do a roundup each month!) and compile a "Best of 2007" list ... like the best movies I saw in 2007 were: or my favorite books in 2007 were... you get the idea.
